You’re the greatest! And that is true. Thank you, Alan and Caroline for your big help and beautiful work!
I was thrilled with what Alan did. He’s crazy but a genius! He made me look fantastic even at the end of a trying week.

Hey Alan, You were great at putting me in a relaxed state of mind and letting me be me. Coming from a model background, it was always hard for me to do headshots where true emmotion could come across. With Alan, I finally have pictures that look like me, that are me – he made me realize we spend so much time trying to be someone else when it is so much easier and effortless being yourself!
ALAN WEISSMAN is THE BEST headshot photographer in the business. There were so many great shots, it was hard to narrow them down. For me, doing pix was like going to the dentist, but Alan made it so easy. He is professional, likable, fun, funny, has great prices, and works with a wonderful makeup artist. I promise you will love him & his terrific, incredibly helpful associate, Shoushan. FIVE out of FIVE STARS.
Alan is an amazing photographer who crafts you to perfection with light! I’ve seen the works of many around the world, yet no one beats the way Alan creates headshots. Have a look at his website and compare them to others, and you will see what I mean! Also, when Alan is shooting for you, he is patient and takes the necessary time (however long it may take) to capture your personality, your essence in the photograph. He takes no short cuts… he even experiments with new ideas if he suddenly thinks that might bring out a new, interesting side to you. A funny, intelligent person to work with, you will enjoy a day of taking your headshots, and will love the results Alan has created for you at the end of the day.
Lastly and maybe most importantly, you can suggest what you like, but also let Alan have room to create an individual style for you! He is very knowledgeable when it comes to what works for an actor’s headshot. I also recommend using the makeup artist from Alan’s studio as they gave me a peace of mind by staying there for the whole shoot (tidying my hair, makeup and outfit when they shift during the shoot).
Alan has been my main photographer for over 20 years. He’s photographed some of the most notable people in the entertainment industry including my ex-husband David Carradine. Alan also took my portrait for my book. He has ALWAYS – from day one – been upfront about fees, proceedure and has conducted himself with honesty and integrity. He is an absolute sweetheart of a person and will go to great lengths to explain things. In all the referrals and recommendations I’ve made regarding Alan to actors, musicians, or even non-industry people who wanted just a great pic with their pet, I have not heard of one complaint…Not one. Just praise and happiness about the results. He is a professional through and through and among the creme de la creme of photographers as well as a person. I can’t praise him enough.
Alan is one of the most professional photographers I have personally worked with, he’s fun & enthusiastic. His aura makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera so there’s no awkwardness in which ever pose you may be in. In East London cockney slang my final pictures well & truly made me look like a “sort” (beautiful). I couldn’t of worked with someone better, an absolute pleasure and great gentleman! Highly recommended!
So much fun! Not at all what I expected! This was my first headshot session and the minute I arrived, Alan greeted me with his two dogs and then we sat down and talked and laughed like old friends. When the shoot began Alan made me so comfortable with humor and kind professional direction, I knew my photos would turn out great. And in the end they exceeded my expectations. Working with Alan as a young actress was like being in my own living room, time flew by and I didn’t want it to end.
Thank you Alan, your wonderful make-up artist Emma and assistant Shoushan for making my experience one to remember and for the fabulous photos.
I recently had the pleasure of working with the prestigious Alan Weismann, at the urging of my agent, for new headshots. Naturally, I was a little nervous, but that quickly faded! Not only was the ambience cozy and inviting, but Alan, himself, was so charismatic and funny that I quickly felt at home! When we started shooting, Alan asked me about myself, my hobbies, and really took great interest in getting to know ME. Not only was this shocking in itself, considering his very impressive clientele, but before I knew it we were done shooting. Turns out his philosophy, in taking a great headshot, is capturing the real you, raw and completely natural. And let me tell you something, the moments Alan caught on camera were absolutely breathtaking images, making the headshots incomparable in nature to any other photographer. I highly recommend Alan to anyone and absolutely everyone who needs a great headshot, portrait, or just a plain old excuse to have great photographs taken, GO SEE ALAN!
Thank you so much for giving me the gift of great headshots. You are a genius in your field and deserve all the success and recognition a person could want. The way you work is truly unique and I am so glad I was able to meet you and work with you.
I wish you all the best and hope to see you soon again,
What is it that makes a woman desirable? Is it her pink-stained pout? Or the perfume that lingers from her décolletage, reminiscent of an unforgettable night spent together in the dark corner of a smokey cafe? Maybe that’s something we could ask Jennifer Korbin, our muse and model for our recent Film Noir Boudoir photo shoot.
Picasso once said that women are either “goddesses or doormats,” a statement which is certainly debatable, but intriguing nonetheless. What is not debatable, is that the women of Film Noir are true goddesses. Take a peek at the behind-the-scenes images from our session and let your imagination run wild!
Hair, makeup, wardrobe, and set-design were all done by our extremely talented colleague, Betty Kennedy.
